The Lagos State government, confirmed that the five additional patients, whose have recovered from COVID-19, has been discharged and on how prevent COVID 19 from Infectious Disease Centre, Yaba Mainland Hospital.
Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotosho, when contacted through his mobile , confirmed the report, saying: “Yes, I’m aware of the Five coronavirus patients, who have fully recovered from the disease after treatment, were now set to be discharged from isolation center today “The government has concluded all arrangements to reintegrate the patients into the society. But, i do know by now the patients are alleged to be in their respective homes. “However, the government will issue a press release very soon. It’s a great thing of joy.
Omotoso appealed to residents to work strictly to the guidelines on prevention of COVID-19, mostly, on social-distancing, washing of hands regularly, and hand sanitiser, covering of mouth with tissue when coughing or sneezing into a bent elbow, among others, said ”We will win the war together.”
Patients relieve experiences However, the five coronavirus patients, whose were reportedly discharged, have narrated their experiences from the disease. With the newest discharges, it brings to eight the entire number of discharged patients from the center. The discharged patients, who preferred anonymity, expressed joy and satisfaction over the cares they received in the hospital.
While commending Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State for his support and pro-activeness, they pleaded that workers at the center tend life assurance.
